School Website and Infinite Campus Contact Information

Please check the Read Website frequently for important information, important dates, Read's Family Handbook and more.

Also, it is very important that all families have the most up to date contact information listed in Infinite Campus. With new visitor protocols and an increase in virtual learning, our school staff relies on this information to ensure you are receiving all the up to date school and classroom information. Book Madness: A Tournament of Books - The Brown Bag Teacher

April Tournament of Books

On April 5, Read School will kick off our annual Tournament of Books.  Classrooms will participate in a "March Madness" (April, in our case) tournament by reading some great books and sending their favorites into the next rounds.  By the end of April, Read School will vote on their favorite picture book for the 2021 Tournament.  We are excited to engage our students with new books and grow their passion for reading in a fun way!  Be sure to ask your child about the books they are voting on this month!

Honesty is one of the most important character traits that children should learn and be able to understand at an early age.  It is a huge part of our job as adults to mold children into outstanding and trustworthy citizens.

What can parents do?

1. Explain the meaning of honesty.

2. Share your experiences and let them know you aren't perfect.  Talk about a time you were honest and how it solved the problem instead of creating more.

3. Explain there are consequences of dishonesty, such as losing the trust and respect of others, covering up a lie leads to more lies, and often will result in embarrassment or punishment.

4. Praise them when they display the trait of honesty.
